A very fine Christmas Day
The Carpetbaggers are enjoying a low key, no stress, zero travel, “do what we want” Christmas Day.
Breakfast was cinnamon rolls and omelets I made from the leftovers of last night’s stuffed mushroom caps… spinach, blue cheese, mushrooms… it’s all good. Coffee with a splash of eggnog. Pandora blasting classical Christmas favorites. The day was off to a rousing start.
Opening presents didn’t take long, but that’s how we planned it. Just a few thoughtful gifts from family. Mostly stuff for the dog.

Like any toddler, she enjoys shredding the wrapping paper more than the gift. It was a good day for Belle the Dog.
This afternoon, we have tickets to Les Mis at 1:45. Never bought tickets on Fandango before. There’s a small service charge but you are guaranteed a seat and don’t have to stand in line at the box office. Only makes sense for movies like this.
Then, home for a baked chicken, tomato, and white bean dish that I’ve never made before.
Merry Christmas to you all. Let me share with you my favorite version of the best Christmas song ever written. The high notes just give me chills.
Enjoy.

Wow, that’s even worse than Cartmans version.
Seems every time I use Fandango, there nobody in line when I get there. But when I don’t, the line’s out the door. Better to be safe.
Yeah, turns out Fandango wasn’t really necessary. Although it filled up by showtime, there was no line to speak of when we got there.
Merry Christmas! Love the completely satisfied and happy look on your dog’s face.
She was pleased with her efforts. Merry Christmas!
